HOW TO ROMANTICIZE YOUR LIFE EVERYDAY

Imagine waking up on a beautiful morning, the sun tip toes through your curtain, casting golden promises on your pillow. You cradle your steaming cup of coffee, savoring its warmth and scent.

The world outside stirs, but within these walls where you are in, time slows down and maybe pause.

Romanticizing your life is all about finding joy in the little things and embracing the beauty around you. Whether it's enjoying a sunset, savoring a delicious meal, or simply taking a moment to appreciate the people you love, it's about creating a sense of magic and wonder in your everyday experiences.

As women we often prioritize caring for others, forgetting that self love and self romance are equally essential.

Let’s go on this journey where we learn to enjoy each moment and find solace  in the smallest things.

HOW CAN WE ROMANTICIZE OUR LIVES????

  1. Start your day with mindfulness. Mindfulness isn’t just about meditation , it’s about infusing intentions in everyday actions. As you sip your morning coffee, taste it, smell it and savor it. When you work out , feel the parts of your body supporting your movement. Be in tune with your body.  Express gratitude in the opportunities that comes your way even in the mundane stuffs.Take a moment to bask in nature, listen to the birds humming outside the , the rustle of leaves. Just be one with nature for at least 5 mins, no looking at screens.

2. Write love letters to yourself, pour out your thoughts, shower yourself with love, appreciation, and encouragement.  Speak to yourself words of affirmation. When you write love letters to yourself, you're acknowledging your strength, your worth and embracing self-love. It’s a great way to boost self-esteem, cultivate a positive mindset, and create a deeper connection with yourself.

3.Light candles: It could be going yourself a nice meal, drinking wine and having a candlelit dinner for "1" or it could be you soaking yourself in a hot tub, doing self care with scented candles on and just have a nice music playing in the background. Candles are like little drops of magic that can truly enhance the romantic atmosphere.

The soft flickering glow of candlelight creates a warm and intimate ambiance that can instantly transform any space. Whether you're enjoying a cozy dinner, taking a relaxing bath, or simply unwinding after a long day, candles add that extra touch of romance and tranquility. Plus, they come in all sorts of delightful scents that can further elevate your mood and create a sensory experience. So go ahead, light those candles baby girl.

4 . Listen to music: Create a playlist of your favorite song. Personally i love listening to oldies from the early 2000’s

Old music has a way of transporting us to a different time and evoking nostalgic emotions. It can bring back memories, create a sense of longing, and add a touch of romance to our lives.

The melodies and lyrics of old songs often have a timeless quality that resonates with our hearts. Whether it's a classic love ballad or a jazzy tune, old music has the power to ignite feelings of passion, joy, and connection.

5. Engage in activities you love: Dedicate time for your hobbies and passion. If you like painting, dancing, cooking, baking, playing sports, playing an instrument. Just spend time doing these things you love, it brings a sense of peace and fulfillment.

6. Buy yourself presents: Treating yourself to presents can be a delightful way to add a touch of romance to your life.

When you buy yourself something special, it's like giving yourself a little gift of love. Whether it's a bouquet of flowers, a perfume, a new book, a piece of jewelry, or even a small indulgence like a fancy chocolate bar, these presents can make you feel appreciated and cherished. It's all about acknowledging your worth and celebrating the joy of self-love.

So go ahead, spoil yourself with a little something special and let the romance bloom!

7.Take pictures: Taking pictures can definitely add a touch of romance to your life. Even when i have nowhere to go, i simply dress up, do my makeup and take cute pictures of myself(Silly right?? Hahaha) When you capture moments and memories through photography, you're able to preserve the beauty and magic of those special times.

Whether it's a breathtaking sunset, a cozy coffee date, or a candid smile, photographs have the power to evoke emotions and transport you back to those cherished moments.

Plus, sharing these photos with loved ones or on social media can spread the love and inspire others.

8.Plan a picnic: This doesn’t have to be over the top, pick a nice location. Maybe it’s a park, a beach or your backyard. Make sure to check the weather forecast first, grab your supplies(food, blanket, speaker for music) Enjoy nature and quality time with yourself or maybe loved ones.

9. Do a phone/social media detox: When we take a break from the constant buzzing of notifications and scrolling through social feeds, we create space for more meaningful connections and intimate moments.

By disconnecting from our phones and social media, we can fully focus on the people we care about.

We can have deeper conversations with loved ones without the temptation to scroll through IG feed or our Facebook timeline.

It's all about being present and giving our undivided attention to our loved ones

10. Declutter your wardrobe: You need to clear out those outfits that no longer serves you. As you go through your clothes you might rediscover some hidden gems that you can re-style and make you look iconic. Letting go of old clothes that no longer serves you symbolizes letting go of your past, it makes you feel lighter and better and it also helps to bring in a new energy into your life.
